A highly collectible first edition, first printing of John le Carré's acclaimed novel A Perfect Spy, widely regarded as one of his finest and most personal works. A Perfect Spy is often cited as le Carré's masterpiece and remains one of the most desirable unsigned first editions in his bibliography. Well-preserved examples such as this are increasingly difficult to find in collectible condition. Philip Roth called it "the best English novel since the war."

The book is in near fine condition, with clean boards, sharp corners, and a tight, square binding. The pages are clean and free from inscriptions or markings. The original unclipped dust jacket (£9.95) is in very good condition with only minor wear to the edges.

A superb example of this increasingly sought-after title.
