---A stunning example of one of the most sought-after post-war British science-fiction first editions ---

A genuine UK first edition of John Wyndham's classic science-‘fiction novel The Midwich Cuckoos, later adapted into the celebrated film Village of the Damned and more recently adapted into a BBC Drama starring Keeley Hawes.

The book is bound in the original black cloth with gilt lettering to the spine. The original red and cream dust jacket is present and retains the original 13s 6d net price to the front flap, confirming first-issue status.

The text block is clean and complete, with light age-‘toning consistent with mid-‘1950s paper. The binding remains firm and square. The dust jacket shows light general wear consistent with age (no major losses), now protected in a removable archival sleeve.
