An increasingly scarce first edition of Pamela Brown's charming family adventure, first published in 1954. Collectable both as an example of classic British children's literature and as one of Brown's less commonly encountered titles, The Windmill Family tells the story of Kate and Colin Channing's efforts to save their family's distinctive windmill home. Desirable in any edition, copies retaining an original unclipped dust jacket are especially sought after, and this example survives in unusually attractive near fine condition.

The book is in near fine condition, remaining clean, bright, and tightly bound. There are no inscriptions, bookplates, or internal markings. Pages are fresh and attractive, free from spotting, with only the slightest hint of age-related toning. The binding is solid and square throughout.

The original unclipped dust jacket is also in near fine condition, complete and attractive, with only minimal wear and negligible loss. Colours remain strong, and the jacket presents beautifully in a protective archival sleeve.

An excellent copy of this sought-after Pamela Brown title, increasingly difficult to find in such well-preserved condition.
